PRIVACY / PLAIN TERMS
How your information is handled.
What happens to what you share with Rendered Intent — through the intake flow and in client work. This page is written to match how the site actually behaves; where a behavior belongs to a service provider’s policy rather than to us, it says so.
Your intake answers, step by step
- While you type
- Your answers stay in your browser. They are not stored in cookies, local storage, or the page URL, and leaving the page discards them.
- When you select “Generate brief”
- Your answers — including your name and email — are sent once to Anthropic’s Claude API, the commercial AI service we use to draft your brief. Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default; how long Anthropic retains API data is governed by Anthropic’s own data-retention policy, not by us.
- When you review
- Nothing has reached Rendered Intent yet. The generated brief is yours to download or copy whether or not you send it.
- When you send
- Your answers and the generated brief are delivered to Rendered Intent as an email, sent through Resend, our email delivery service, to our studio mailbox. There is no site database: the inquiry exists as that email. Resend and our mailbox provider retain email per their own policies.
- Abuse protection
- The submission endpoint keeps a short-lived rate-limit record derived from your network address, stored with our infrastructure provider. It contains none of your answers.
- Analytics
- Site analytics record page views and flow milestones — started, step reached, brief generated, sent. Analytics events never include your answers, your name, or your email address.
Client material and AI use
- Confidentiality
- Material you share with the studio — in an inquiry or an engagement — is treated as confidential and used to deliver or discuss that work.
- Ownership
- Material you provide remains yours. Ownership of deliverables, and of the studio’s pre-existing methods, tools, and IP, is set in engagement terms.
- AI use
- The studio works AI-natively: approved AI services may be used for synthesis, drafting, analysis, and implementation. If your work needs tool restrictions, we agree on them before work begins.
- Model training
- Where client material passes through a hosted AI service, the studio uses commercial API access whose terms exclude use of inputs and outputs for model training by default. Consumer AI subscriptions can carry different terms and are not assumed to be equivalent; if one would touch client material, that is a tool-restriction conversation first.
- Local processing
- For privacy-sensitive work, selected tasks can run through local open-weight models on client-controlled hardware. This describes where model inference happens. It is not a claim that the work is fully private or offline — the machines involved still run applications, operating systems, backups, and networks of their own.
- Retention and deletion
- Inquiries are retained as email in the studio mailbox so we can respond and refer back to the conversation. There is no automated deletion mechanism today. To ask for an inquiry to be deleted, email hello@renderedintent.com.
